Playa Nueva Andalucia
This is the main stretch of beach that runs from Marbella to Puerto Banus. Famous for its proximity to Casa Malibu, which was previously owned by Sean Connery and the breakwaters featuring several little coves known as “Los Espignones” this is a popular choice for families staying in Puerto Banus. This beach attracts glitz and glamour and you might to spot a celebrity or two in the summer months and is often awarded the Blue Flag award for its high standards of cleanliness and great facilities.
Playa Rio Verde
Playa Rio Verde is situated just to the east of Puerto Banus, next to the Rio Verde itself. In order to access the beach from Puerto Banus you cross over the stylish wooden footbridge where you can watch wader birds in the reeds of the river. This beach has been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union for its high standards of cleanliness and excellent facilities, making it one of the recommended family beaches in Puerto Banus. There is street parking near this beach, although during the summer months it is recommended to arrive as early as possible to make sure you are able to secure a space. There are dozens of chiringuitos where you can have a snack, or a fully fledged meal catering to all tastes and cuisines.
