There’s plenty going on close to the Costa del Sol this summer, but September is a perfect time to take that family break, just before the kids go back to school. Set the whole family up with some extra Vitamin D, and take a late break in the September sunshine. Or, if you’re lucky enough to own, or be considering a property on the Costa del Sol, then take a look at the line up for this year’s Gibraltar Calling Music Festival, it’s just a short hop away!
A short drive away
That’s the beauty of living in this wonderful area. Everything is just so accessible. From the busy airport at Málaga, to inland villages and coastal towns. Mingle with celebrities in Marbella in the morning, by evening you could watch the sunset from Morocco. Between the two continents lies the overseas British territory of Gibraltar, fondly known as The Rock. One hour and ten minutes along the AP-7 from your home in Marbella, and you can spend the day there. There’s plenty to do and see, including getting up close and personal with the resident Macaques. But in September, MTV presents their first edition of Gibraltar Calling, the music festival that has everyone talking.
When and where is the festival held?
Victoria Stadium is the festival location, and that’s right across the airport runway – you can park in Spain and walk across. Remember your passport though! The festival is held over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of September, and promises to be two days of fun-filled entertainment.
